May 2008 Membership Meeting - Steel Reinforcement for Concrete
The ACI Greater Michigan Chapter together, with our Meeting Corporate Sponsor,
Ambassador Steel, invites you to join us on Tuesday, May 20th 2008, for a
presentation and discussion on Steel Reinforcement for Concrete.
Our speaker for the evening will be Tony Johnson, Great Lakes Regional Manager
for the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute. The presentation will provide a brief
overview of reinforcing steel production, fabrication and specifications. Pending
specification changes and new technology will also be discussed. Concrete
framing selections will be presented with reference to typical design applications
and loading considerations. A review of “Building Value and Efficiency with
Reinforced Concrete” will highlight the benefits of choosing concrete as a structural
system.
Detroit Tigers vs. St. Louis Cardinals - Wednesday June 25th, 2007 at
Comerica Park
The ACI Greater Michigan Chapter invites you to join us on Wednesday, June 25th
for our annual summer social event.
Plan to bring friends/family or business associate for an evening of great food and
social networking at the Foxtown Grille and Comerica Park. The Tigers will throw
out the first pitch at 7:05 p.m. against the St. Louis Cardinals. It will be a rematch
of the 1934, 1968, 2006 World Series; additionally the Cardinals are currently tied
for lead in the National League Central Division.
