Steel Reinforcement for Concrete
The ACI Greater Michigan Chapter together, with our Meeting Corporate Sponsor,
Ambassador Steel, invites you to join us on Tuesday, May 20th 2008, for a
presentation and discussion on Steel Reinforcement for Concrete.  

Our speaker for the evening will be Tony Johnson, Great Lakes Regional
Manager for the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute.  The presentation will
provide a brief overview of reinforcing steel production, fabrication and
specifications.  Pending specification changes and new technology will also be
discussed.  Concrete framing selections will be presented with reference to typical
design applications and loading considerations.  A review of “Building Value and
Efficiency with Reinforced Concrete” will highlight the benefits of choosing
concrete as a structural system.
